Livingston/West Orange Yoetzet

About us

The Livingston and West Orange Yoetzet Halacha Program is an ongoing partnership between four local shuls and two community mikvaot: Mikvah Chana, The West Orange Mikvah, Congregation AABJ&D, Congregation Etz Chaim, Congregation Ohr Torah and the Synagogue of the Suburban Torah Center. We are among the first communities in the U.S. to employ a Yoetzet and this partnership has made a meaninful difference to the women and men in our respective communities. Women of all generations attend our quarterly shiurim to hear inspiring words of Torah and participate in in-depth learning on relevant topics. In short, the program has increased awareness of Taharat Mishpacha within our communities, and it has strenghtened the bond between families and between women and religious observance.
