What Do You Really Want?

Tuesday, May 4th

2:00 - 2:45 PM EDT/ 11:00 -11:45 PM PDT

Yoetzet Halacha Shayna Goldberg

Mashgicha Ruchanit at Migdal Oz

Session Overview:

Managing decisions can be a significant source of stress, worry, and regret, from the big ones that determine life’s trajectory to the innumerable, seemingly inconsequential choices of daily living. This session will explore how self-awareness and an attitude of trust are the best tools for making strong decisions about which we can feel confident. If we learn how to recognize our fears, explore them, evaluate their potential consequences, and contemplate what we want moving forward, we will have an easier time owning and taking responsibility for our decisions.

What does the Torah say about Falling In Love?

Wednesday, May 5th

12:00 -12:45 PM EDT/ 9:00 - 9:45 AM PDT

Yoetzet Halacha Lisa Septimus

Five Towns Yoetzet Initiative, NY

Session Overview:

Everyone wants to find love but what is the Torah perspective on romantic love or falling in love? Is it something we should hope for or a distraction when looking for the right person? Is bashert/soulmate the same thing as love or something different? How do we know when we have found our bashert? How do we know when we are in love? In this session we will explore a few Torah perspectives on these questions.
